Advocacy & Support
You deserve to experience healthy love, live in a safe community, and have opportunities to heal and grow. The advocates at ThinkSelf understand that violence and abuse can have many negative effects on a person’s life, such as financial problems, difficult emotions, housing issues, and more. We work with you to create a safety plan, connect you with resources, help you improve your financial situation by preparing for a job and applying for benefits, assist in finding housing, and provide guidance on how to cope with and heal from the challenges you’ve faced.

For work, citizenship, college & life: It’s up to you! Our main goal is to ensure you have access to language and communication wherever you go, whether that is through an ASL interpreter or communicating through texts, emails, or captions. While attending classes at ThinkSelf you can improve your reading, writing, and work skills – in ASL and English.
Not sure what you want to do? Worried you don’t have the right qualifications? Our Learner Advocates will support you. We work closely with Minnesota Employment Center.
