Sarah searches and applies for funding opportunities for new projects and programs that will benefit ThinkSelf’s learners and participants. Sarah believes there is always time for a second (or third, or fourth) chance in life and it’s never too late to learn.
Sarah has earned a Master’s in Adult Education, a Master’s in Linguistics with a focus on ASL, and a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies. Sarah also holds NIC certification in ASL Interpreting and an Adult Basic Education (ABE) license.
A California native, Sarah enjoys taking walks around Minneapolis’ many lakes, parks and neighborhoods with her husband, children and adorable dog, Helo.
Sarah: “I started learning ASL in college as a foreign language requirement. After two semesters I changed my major to Interpreting and, nearly two decades later, still enjoy learning anything and everything about language.”
