Aaron: “I grew up using spoken English and did not start learning ASL until my last year of high school. My first exposure to ASL was a hearing interpreter and a teacher of the deaf, both of which encouraged the learning of some basic signs. Then I went on to college in Wisconsin and discovered the Deaf Community and decided to further my ASL skills by attending Gallaudet.”
