A Cruise to Remember
ThinkSelf’s 7th Anniversary Cruise was a smashing success! Thanks to ticket sponsors, 67 participants, their family members, and staff were able to attend free of cost. In addition to the boat festivities, 45 people enjoyed the two way bus providing some much needed traffic and parking relief. All told, we rocked the boat with 225 ticket sales and182 total attendees with partner organizations, victim service providers, and community members.

Upcoming Health & Healing Workshop: Mudluk Pottery Class
Curious about pottery and working with clay? Join us for the perfect class for students who have limited or no experience handbuilding or working on the potter’s wheel, and those who are looking to refresh or strengthen their basic abilities. Mudluk Pottery Studio is a Black/queer/woman owned ceramics sanctuary in Minneapolis where we can create and be at ease. Get answers to your questions and experience pottery class in a small group setting with ASL interpretation.
Since there are limited seats available, we kindly ask that if you register and are unable to attend, contact us as soon as possible so we can offer the seat to another person.

Department of Corrections Prison Rape Elimination Act Training
To begin August with learning and advocacy, ThinkSelf leaders and advocates attended Victim Services & Restorative Justice Unit’s Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) training with other Victim Service Providers in Minnesota. The training will ensure ThinkSelf is able to provide advocacy to Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and DeafDisabled incarcerated persons all throughout the state of Minnesota. Advanced Trauma Informed Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Interpreting Training
ThinkSelf and Day One is providing an essential training to members of the interpreting community on August 17th who have extensive experience working with survivors of sexual and domestic violence. With this training, the ThinkSelf and Day One collaboration strives to provide interpreters with best practices for interpreting for survivors, tools for introspection, and ideas for self-care after interpreting in an emotionally-charged environment.
