The image is a panoramic promotional banner titled "Growing Connections & Building Foundations," featuring a large, sprawling tree with intricate root systems visible above ground. The background transitions from a solid teal color with the text and the ThinkSelf logo, to a vibrant photograph of the tree in a natural setting. The design uses imagery of the tree to metaphorically represent the themes of growth and foundational strength, aligned with ThinkSelf's mission in education and advocacy.

Men as Peacemakers Training

Group photo of diverse individuals, standing and kneeling in two rows. The backdrop includes a poster reading "CREATING EXIT RAMPS INTO SAFETY AND HEALING." All are smiling, some wearing nametags, in casual attire.

ThinkSelf had a wonderful opportunity to send three staff members to Duluth for an in person workshop called “Creating Exit-Ramps from Sex Trafficking into Safety & Healing’ hosted by Men as Peacemakers. It was a learning experience about how to provide healing and safe space for others. As an advocate, it is important to understand and recognize how survivors end up on the “highway of sex trafficking” and our role is to build an exit ramp for them, often more than one, for them to get off to start their journey to heal. As it stands today, the systems as we know it is set up to build many entry ramps into trafficking, even forcing folks to join the highway without the opportunity to get off. With many highways all over the US, each route tells a story – It is important to share, listen, and see that the stories have impact and come to fruition by creating an exit ramp from trafficking in your community. As we build more exit ramps on the highway, the more healing and safe spaces we can give to those to share their stories.
