State Department Visitors
ThinkSelf Hosts International Delegation on Legal Aid Access
On June 27, ThinkSelf welcomed law enforcement and public safety leaders from 14 countries as part of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, in partnership with Global Minnesota and World Learning.
Representatives from Legal Aid and the Hennepin County Law Library also joined the conversation. We shared how Deaf-led advocacy ensures accessible support for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing adults navigating the legal system. A powerful exchange on justice, equity, and community collaboration!
Most people are dressed in professional or business-casual clothing. One person in front (far left) is wearing traditional West African attire. Another (far right) wears a black T-shirt with a colorful graphic. Behind them, a man in a light-colored blazer stands with arms crossed.

ThinkSelf will be closed on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
We understand that holidays can be stressful, isolating, or unsafe—especially for those navigating harm, healing, or systemic barriers. If you need support while we’re away, you are not alone.
