We're glad you're here.

ThinkSelf is a Minnesota-based 501c3 nonprofit serving Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled and hard of hearing individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.

We have two main programs: Adult education services including learner advocacy and Advocacy services for people experiencing the effects of relationship abuse and crime.

Education

For work, citizenship, college & life: It’s up to you! Our teachers and advocates will work with you to improve your skills so you have access to language and communication wherever you go – including the workplace, home and your communities.

Advocacy

Person at intersection

You deserve safety, compassion, and support. Experiencing domestic abuse, sexual violence, or a crime can impact many parts of a person’s life. We can work with you to find resources, plan for safety, and create your pathway to healing.

Community Workshops

Learning is a lifelong journey – join us! We invite the community to engage in art programs and projects and experience a holistic and creative approach to learning. Past topics include theater, meditation, self-defense, plant care, and more.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

We are committed to meeting the needs of all of our community members. We strive to create a welcoming environment and ensure equitable access to our programs, services and activities, as well as our print and digital media.

We recognize that 1 in 4 people in the US have a disability or use a communication modality which may require accommodations – such as interpreters, assistive devices, or print materials with large font sizes – in order to benefit from resources and services.

We consider it our privilege to provide accommodations because we understand that accessibility brings value to our programming and benefits everyone! We welcome your questions and comments on how to improve our materials and programs.
