Eric is a DVSA advocate who works with various Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing and other individuals that self identify as part of the D/HH community. They help these individuals navigate difficult situations in relation to domestic violence and other intimate interpersonal conflicts.
Eric believes that all individuals have the right to live in a safe environment that allows for personal growth. They have worked in various positions across the medical industry: lead and support staff positions at group homes, particularly ones that have residents with traumatic pasts, assisting companies file medical insurance for their employees, and coordinating/brokering medical transportation for clients via their various medical insurance plans.
Eric has studied biochemistry rather extensively at Rochester Institute of Technology, and is currently pursuing a Social Work license through the Family Social Sciences program at the University of Minnesota.
In their free time, Eric enjoys crafting projects, particularly sewing/quilt making. They feel that taking the time to pursue creative pursuits keeps their mind active while providing useful skills in their life.
