Stand with ThinkSelf: Empower Deaf Survivors and Learners
Across our country, conversations about justice, equity, and accessibility are louder and more necessary than ever — yet many in our communities still face barriers to safety, education, and connection. Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals often encounter isolation, especially in homes or spaces where sign language and Deaf culture are not recognized. Others are rebuilding after experiences of violence or discrimination, working toward independence in a world that too often fails to listen.
Since 2017, ThinkSelf has stood beside 512 survivors, 219 learners, and countless allies in the Deaf community, opening doors to safety, empowerment, and lifelong learning.
Your support makes this possible. Every donation helps us provide essential services and resources such as:
- Safe transportation and relocation for survivors escaping domestic violence.
- Technology and equipment loans to keep Deaf learners connected and learning.
- Transportation assistance for students and job seekers reaching school, training, or employment.
- Financial support for survivors — covering interpreting, legal fees, deposits, and emergency needs.
- Basic essentials like food, winter clothing, and household items.
- Community education and outreach to strengthen awareness of Deaf rights, safety, and empowerment.
- Operational support that keeps ThinkSelf’s transformative programs running strong.
This year, our goal is to raise $15,000 to sustain these vital efforts. Every contribution — no matter the size — fuels our shared vision of safety, access, and equity for all.
Your generosity tells every survivor and learner: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.
Join us in building a future where every Deaf survivor and learner has the tools and support to thrive.
Thank you for believing in ThinkSelf — and in the power of community, access, and justice.
